How do I add a word?
Tap "New Entry" from the Gallery or Index tab. Type any English word, select the meaning you want, and Lexicon will generate a complete card for you — definition, etymology, pronunciation, memory hook, and a paired photograph.
Where do Sightings come from?
Lexicon scans articles, essays, poetry, and quotes across the web to find real appearances of the words in your collection. Pull down to refresh for new results.
How does sync work?
Sign in with Apple keeps your word collection synced. If you delete and reinstall the app or switch devices, your words will be restored automatically.
How do I create a collection?
Open any word card, tap the Collections icon, then tap "New Collection." You can also tap the Lexicon header in the Gallery and tap the + icon to create one from there.
How do I view my collections?
Tap the Lexicon header in the Gallery — your collections appear as pills you can select to filter your words. You can also view them in the Index by tapping the header and selecting "The Collections."
Can I export my words?
Yes. Go to the Curator tab and tap "Export Library" to save your entire collection as a JSON file.
A word generated the wrong definition, or I don't like the image.
Long-press the card and tap "Regenerate" to generate a fresh card with new content and imagery.
